A chat belongs to the account and character you used to start it. If a familiar conversation is missing, check that account before creating a replacement or resetting the chat.
Continue the conversation you started
Use the same sign-in method as before and check the character name. Opening another account can show a different history even on the same device.
For a new conversation, give the character a clear starting point: where the scene takes place, the relationship between the characters and what you would like to happen next. A short concrete setup gives the reply something specific to respond to.
Choose the right chat control

When a reply loses track
Restate one important detail rather than pasting the entire history. Separate your character instructions from the next line of dialogue. A consistent name and setting are easier to maintain than several conflicting changes at once.
Check whether the problem concerns one chat or every conversation. For a loading error, record the device, browser and exact message before resetting anything.
Questions and answers
Can cloning recover a deleted Candy AI chat?
No. Clone Chat creates a branch from a conversation that still exists. It is not a recovery tool for a chat that has already been permanently deleted.
Should I reset a chat when I cannot sign in?
No. Sign-in problems concern access to the account. Recover the original login first; resetting a conversation does not recover an account or its purchases.
